Portrait Painting Classes

Carol Tarn offers tuition in portrait painting in her studio at the The Trampery,Wood Green,in North London. Her studio is large and fully equipped offering good natural light plus daylight bulbs for the evening.

Her classes consist of a group of no more than five pupils offering tuition tailored to each individuals needs. This offers the opportunity to experience personalised tuition in a relaxed studio environment.

Pupils will learn how to plan the process of creating a portrait from start to finish, how to create a true likeness, including the importance of the under-painting and colour charts. They will also learn the very useful skill of how to create a portrait purely from reference photographs.
