This portrait of Lesley Joseph is based on photographs that Carol took backstage of Lesley at the Garrick Theatre during the 2018 Mel Brooks production of Young Frankenstein. Lesley was nominated for the Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical for her portrayal of Frau Blucher.

Lesley Joseph is one of Britain's best known character actresses, appearing in many roles both in Television and Radio as well as the Theatre. She is  probably most well known for her portrayal of Dorien Green in Birds of a Feather from 1989-1998, and also for appearing as a contestant in Strictly Come dancing in 2016.
